We hope you can join us for the following events and activities...


TRAININGS/WORKSHOPS

Food Stamp Pre-Screening Training:

 

 Saturday, June 18th

9:30am-2:00pm

All Saints Church

2329 Victory Blvd.

Staten Island, NY 10304

 

*All times include a half-hour break.  Refreshments will be provided. 

 

These trainings will teach program staff, volunteers, or anyone interested how to pre-screen clients for Food Stamps. 

 

Keep in mind that the Food Stamps program is one of the most under-used benefits in the city.  There are still between 600,000-700,000 people in the city who are eligible but are not receiving the benefit!

 

Anyone who may be interested in providing this service to their clients is welcome to attend.

NYC Hunger Summit 2005

NYC Hunger Summit 2005 is the very first policy summit focused on hunger for the network of emergency and community food programs citywide.  The summit is an opportunity for staff, volunteers and participants of the more than 1,200 emergency food programs across the five boroughs to talk directly with their legislators, government officials and other community leaders.

8:15 PM- Procession to City Hall Park, Vigil Begins
